In golf we trust blog ran this report about Glenn’s tour:

While many of us moan about not getting the chance to play enough golf, chances are Glenn Turner will be spending next Sunday sawing his clubs in half after competing a new world record for courses played in a year.

By the time he reaches Woodbury Park in Devon this Saturday (March 31) he will have teed it up at 383 golf courses, raising money for the Association of Children’s Hospices and the Rhys Daniels Trust. Organising the tour single-handedly and living out of a motor home, Turner has fought illness, bad weather and sleep deprivation along the way. He has walked the equivalent of 103 marathons, lost two and a half stone and, worst of all, had to play with the likes of Adam Woodyatt off Eastenders and, ahem, comedian Bobby Davro.
